The fear on Bruce's face when he hears what Tim has planned, the stress as he run toward his son, calling EVERY allies in the area to come save his son because he will be too late (again).

"The blood of the covenant is ticker than the water of the womb" is really prevalent in Batman. His family doesn't share blood, but they bleed together. And here, the message is even stronger because the enemy, the one that is responsible of the death of his adopted son he loves so much, is his uncle, the brother of his dear late mother.

Dick realizes I Ching was right and steps back to let Tim decide. But even as he does it, he doubts himself and Tim. If he doesn’t act he could lose Tim and he shouldn’t have trusted him. If he does act then he shows he doesn’t trust Tim. No winners.

dick stays to the side and Tim pours out the sample he was going to take. He collapses in dicks arms and apologizes. Dick tells him he never doubted him (Nightwing Vol. 2 #139)
